An Award for Doing What I Love

On October 11, 2022 I will be awarded an "Annie" Award for Literary Arts from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County. I am honored and humbled by this recognition, nominated by two students in my senior classes at Anne Arundel Community College. The principal argument for my receiving the award is the inspiration and sense of community my writing classes offer to my senior citizen students, most of them residents of this wonderful county.

My greatest pleasure and satisfaction since 2008 has been, sharing time in class with writing students-- in-person until March , 2019, mostly on Zoom since summer 2020.
